Catching Up: The Birth of TeamKick

Sarah Angevin. Not a name many people know and quite frankly, that is a given seeing she hasn't really been a name any where. Right now, it seems the only people that know of her are the ZCW officials (obviously) and her dear friend Tori Vega. Unlike most "friends" in wrestling, Tori and Sarah didn't go to school together. Tori and Sarah actually met wrestling on the indie scene. Their meeting was by chance too when a promoter was looking for a team for an event and put these two together. Tori and Sarah happened to gel and began to tour the promotions as "TeamKick", named after both of their fondness for kicking opponents.

Fast forward a couple years, Tori Vega and Sarah Angevin are signed to ZCW as a TeamKick. Tori and Sarah were quite pleased to be signed to such a big promotion and not having to continue going from show to show hoping they will get picked up by somebody important. Tori arrived at the arena sometime after Sarah, surprisingly since they always travel together, and immediately went up to Sarah.

Tori VEGA: So what do you say? You want to bring back the old TeamKick team?

Sarah ANGEVIN: Well. From my understanding when we were signed, they were interested in the both of us especially as TeamKick. So whether we like it or not, which I am completely in favor for, we are TeamKick through and through.

Tori VEGA: What a relief! I thought you were going to tell me you were going it alone and leaving me to be alone.

Sarah ANGEVIN: Oh you know better than that! I told you when the offers were made that I got your back through all of this and we will be going as a cohesive unit. TeamKick one hundred percent!

Sarah Angevin gave Tori Vega a hug showing her solidarity for her friend and making a point to be behind her no matter what happens.

Sarah Angevin and Tori Vega decided instantly that being TeamKick was the right more for both parties. Do Tori and Sarah aspire to singles champions at some point? Absolutely! And they both know that if the opportunity were to present itself, they would take it with no ill feelings from the other. TeamKick was a special bond between the two; A sisterhood if you will.

Sarah and Tori walked down the corridor towards the parking lot ready for whatever the night may bring them.

tori VEGA: So where do you have in mind?

sarah ANGEVIN: Honestly, I was hoping knew somewhere because I am completely knew to Edmonton let alone Canada as a whole.

Tori and Sarah both laugh

tori VEGA: I thought the same thing! I know we came from different regions of the world but I figured you had at one point been out here.

sarah ANGEVIN: Nope. I have always aspired to work in North America and I came to the US as did you but this is my first time working in Canada.

tori VEGA: Well. That puts a slight speed bump in our plans for the evening.

sarah ANGEVIN: No not necessarily. Hold on a second.

Sarah pulls her phone out of her back pocket and begins to look through it. Tori smiled knowing her friend always went above and beyond to make plans work out.

sarah ANGEVIN: Ah ha! Alright. I found a place not that far from here. It is a pub so there will be some cat calling but it some where to go. Unless you want to do something more calm or something.

Sarah looks up from her phone at Tori.

Tori Vega was always one to stress or concern over the littlest of things. Money, work, transportation, lodging, love...you name it, she'll stress over it. Sarah Angevin on the other hand, she takes more of a calm lifestyle. Does she worry about stuff? Of course. Everyone worries about something but she is more calm about it. She doesn't think there is a need to stress when you will reap what you sow. You do good, good will happen to you.

Sarah looks at her phone again after Tori finished talking. Sarah took a deep breath and tilted her head.

sarah ANGEVIN: It appears to be roughly couple blocks down the road. So if you are wanting to, we could walk there. I am up for it. Seeing the streets for what they are but that is really up to you. As you know, I am not one to pressure anything.

tori VEGA: Yeah I know. I made the suggestion about driving or Ubering because you were VERY vague about how far the pub was from here. But yeah, lets do it. I could use some cardio to clear my mind.

sarah ANGEVIN: Sounds good! Lets get a move on!

Sarah puts her phone back into her back pocket as she begins to lead the way. Tori quickly begins to follow suit.

What does one want from their profession? That is always the million dollar question. Sarah was just asked that very question by her best friend and team mate. Does Sarah just be coy and speak strictly about TeamKick or does she talk about doing a little bit of solo action? Sarah knows that Tori can get a little overwhelmed take some things as personal issues. It seems like this is going to be a very tricky conversation.

tori VEGA: Sarah? Are you alright?

sarah ANGEVIN: Oh yeah I am doing alright. I was just thinking over what you said.

tori VEGA: Let me guess, you are second guessing doing TeamKick again?

sarah ANGEVIN: Oh no no no Tori! I am pleased to be here with you; in ZCW and as a friend.

tori VEGA: Then what's going on?

sarah ANGEVIN: Since we are such good friends, I can be completely honest with you. I am completely happy with TeamKick. I really am and I think we could be a driving force for the creation of the Women's Tag Team Championships or possibly being able to compete with the men. I really don't think that would be fair for us seeing we are so small compared to a lot of the men in this company. But do I think you and I can be tag team champions forever? Not completely. Are you a sturdy wrestler in your own right? Absolutely! Can I hold myself in the ring? Yeah, I think I can. So what I am saying is, if there is an opportunity to wrestle for the Miss Canada or Women's Championships, we should take them. I will not stab you in the back for the opportunity and hopefully you won't do the same.

tori VEGA: Have you talked with the General Manager or anyone about this?

sarah ANGEVIN: Tor Tor...you were in the room when we signed the contracts. So to answer your question, no. No one has talked to me about anything but everyone being thrilled about having us on the roster.

tori VEGA: Well Sarah. I am not going to hold you back if you get the opportunity at any kind of gold.

sarah ANGEVIN: Tori! You asked a question and you are acting like I am breaking up with you...

Sarah stops suddenly and looks at Tori with a questionable look.

tori VEGA: Sarah?

Sarah shakes her head and continues where she left off.

sarah ANGEVIN: You need to calm down and stop over thinking this. You and I will always be TeamKick. Whether we are Tag Team Champions, chasing bad guy, being Women's or Miss Canada Champion, or retired at home. It will always be you and I. Period.

Sarah places her hand on Tori's to reassure her.

sarah ANGEVIN: Everything will be alright. But lets get onto another topic. What are you looking for from the company and in your personal life? I know we talked about this a year or so ago but situations have changed and we have been through a bit more.

Tori Vega has just admitted to something very personal to her best friend, she is bisexual but is leaning more towards women at this point. Sarah knew that what Tori has been weighing on her mind for quite sometime and was very personal to her. Sarah appreciates that Tori feels so comfortable with her to be able to take that weight off her chest. Does Sarah feel comfortable with the admission? Of course! It doesn't matter who, male or female, Tori likes. Sarah supports Tori through anything. Tori wants to take TeamKick to the top of the card and fight tooth and nail for a women's revolution. Sarah is right beside her fighting along with her. Tori wants to be Miss Canada Champion, Sarah will be supportive to her. Tori wants to be Women's Champion, Sarah is right there helping her achieve her goal. Tori wants to take time away to be a mother, Sarah will be the best auntie she can possibly be.

Sarah smiles and pats Tori's hand.

sarah ANGEVIN: Girl! Look at you! Instead of keeping yourself down, you are looking over your downfalls and finding ways to make sure you don't repeat them again. I am proud of you my friend. And sense you asked my thoughts, here they are. I support you one hundred percent in whatever you do; in or out of the ring. You want to be with a man, awesome! You want to be with a woman, awesome! You want to be Women's Champion, I'll do what I can to help you get there. Like I have said throughout our friendship, I support whatever you feel is right in your life.

Sarah hugs Tori tight before releasing her and carrying on with the conversation.

sarah ANGEVIN: So Tori, you struck me curious. Since you brought it up, who are you crushing on right now? ZCW, indie scene, personal life. Who has been getting your attention secretly?

Sarah Angevin sat with Tori Vega listening to her talk about the pain in her heart and mind. She likes someone that she is afraid to confess her passion to. Why? Because she is afraid of judgement. Just the sounds of that hurt Sarah's heart. Sarah holds Tori's hand knowing she needed to be Tori's support system through this time.

sarah ANGEVIN: Tor Tor, you should never be afraid to express how you feel. You said this person is a friend of your's. Even if that person doesn't feel the same way you do, they should support how you feel. Like I told you before, I don't care if you are a lesbian or straight. I don't care if you want to be a wrestler or a house mother. You are my friend and hearing that you are hurting hurts me.

Sarah lifts Tori's hand and kisses the back of her hand.

sarah ANGEVIN: You asked me what I would do in your shoes? I really don't know. I don't know because I never thought about dating women. Don't get me wrong, I don't detest it. I just never thought about it. Granted, I haven't really seriously dated in a couple years. But I know I am not that friend you are passionate about. So I am not going to et a big head about it. I am not that kind of person. You know that. But you asked the question. Ugh. I am just rambling now. But to go back to your question. What would I do in your shoes? I really don't know but if it is hurting you to hold it back, then you need to tell the person. If they are a real friend, regardless of how they feel, they should be supportive of you.

And the secret has finally been revealed. Tori Vega's secret crush is none other than her tag team partner, Sarah Angevin. Tori has stated that is has been known for awhile by her but she was terrified about losing not only the team but most importantly her best friend. Now the real question is, how is Sarah going to take the news? Does she have a similar feeling? Does she want to end TeamKick before it even starts?

Sarah Angevin sat at the table holding Tori Vega's hand as she confessed her affection for her. Sarah could feel the trembling in Tori's hand as she spoke so fondly about her. Sarah looked away for a second before clearing her throat and taking a quick drink.

tori VEGA: Oh no! I knew this would ruin everything!

Sarah reaches over and places her finger of her free hand over Tori's lips.

sarah ANGEVIN: Tori. I am speechless. I don't know how to feel about this. I mean. I am sincerely flattered! I really didn't know you felt this way. And I assure you that TeamKick is one hundred percent intact and nothing will change there. As for our friendship, it has never been better! You will always be my best friend and like I said, I don't care who you like, I will always be supportive of you. And who knows, maybe I will be able to return the feelings some day.

Sarah sticks her tongue out and winks towards Tori in a friendly teasing manner.
